I saw a 120k pickup truck get an Oil change the other day, Beastly looking truck, really nice. Oil pan AND oil pan Plug were both plastic. On a monstrous lifted Truck. Came that way. I could not believe it when I saw it.
The gas mileage thing is has a lot to do with the gear ratio. If you change the rear end, gas mileage improves significantly….
I have a 350 V8 in a 52 Chevy 1 ton truck that goes hwy speed gets 20 mpg hwy at 70 mph
Once I’m I did a wood run with five pallets of wood on the back could only go 55 miles an hour got 28 miles to the gallon … it was almost unbelievable.
Parts are cheap and available
I just spent $2000 to fix my 1992 Ford F250 4×4’s brakes (new master brake cylinder and brake lines, brakes all around, front and rear diff, shocks n struts, transmission lines, tune up and oil change). It might not look great, but it runs good and will still outlasta new Ford P/U and the best part is it is the perfect shade of paid off.
New cars sucks big time..I almost lost my life when I collided with a truck turning illegally! Maybe crumpling ain’t that safe especially against heavier vehicles. 🙄🤷🏻♂️
