  1. now i really am confused…. i’ve often wondered if the differences are as simple as you state even though i try to buy OE where possible, but there seems to be several comments below that have strong opinions to the OE vs OEM case. Does the community feel that it would reduce a cars resale value if it was restored using mostly OEM parts ?

  2. You wrong in training they said that original parts go through more stringent quality control standards

  3. You biggest fool , there is quality difference in raw material and quality control so anyone saying that parts are same is the biggest fool on planet .

  4. 1. The key difference between OE spare parts and OEM parts is that the former undergoes quality control by the car manufacturer, and not 100% of parts pass. 2. There’s also a difference between Genuine spare parts and OE parts: sometimes the car manufacturer itself changes the design or specification, but the part number remains the same.
