  1. Installed Brute Power Release Bearing 614073 box say Made in China. Couple weeks ago started making noise, now has less than 30K miles on the bearing absolute JUNK. I paused thought to myself when I put the clutch in the car, had the release bearing in my hand, and another SACHS part OEM Made in Germany, only reason I used it was because the bearing surface that comes in contact with the pressure plate fingers is metal and the OEM one has nylon facing on it, thought that nylon facing would not stand up as long as the metal face bearing so used the Made in China one thinking I’ll give it a try see if this works out. NOPE! I’ll never use Auto Zone ever again they lost a customer over one bearing inferior quality…

  2. Why we don’t work on European cars. The nearest dealer is over 100 miles away and no good parts! Everything is a week out.

The aftermarket information services have very little on newer European cars. You put in the year make and model they don’t have sht.

If hauled in on tow truck and if not a tire, it’s always something major. We don’t even allow Euros to be dumped off at our shop.

Outside the big city, European cars are freakin rare anyway. Not working on Euros makes working on cars easier and cheaper. I don’t need any triple squares or special VW or Mercedes or BMW tools. I don’t need special scan tools and subscriptions I would rarely use.

Unless you are specialized shop or live in the big city, you would starve to death around here if you are a European tech. They that rare!
