What is your preferred spark plugs?
I had an engine that used a lot of oil and fouled plugs every 6 weeks or so switching to platinum jumped to over 6 months
It is well known that a spark likes to jump to the nearest sharp edge. At each occurrence the high voltage destroys a tiny piece of that edge rounding it off causing the spark to reach to an edge farther away. Single ground strap plugs degrade rather quickly with disappearing sharp edges adding extra strain on the ignition system. Ergo, the E3s, in my wife’s Avalon, my Frontier, and Porsche Bosxter.
Drag race engine builders like Steve Morris use NGK…that’s good enough for me.
I wish one of these demo videos would explain what we are seeing? I have no idea if a large spark (ACDelco cheapo and E3) or a narrow spark (NGK and the other ACDelco) is better. Of course, we are not observing these plugs in real-world conditions for high compression or turbo/supercharged engines.
