This tool does not break loose the ball joint it’s just used as leverage for the control arm when separating it. Being the tool is $10 or less typically its worth buying for sure. Much faster than a chain and bolt

Hit it with mallet, lean on it with hands with a bungie on the caliper looped around the mirror, it’ll pull the wheel to the side while you push down. Takes 30 seconds
