With 30 years of automotive industry experience, our founder Dwayne Saunders recognized the need for providing auto repair through a different lens. After a brief trial-and-error business model, he opened Genuine Automotive & Diesel in Austin, Texas, in 2019. The concept of superior auto services and repairs and real customer care makes perfect sense to us, but it was so novel to our local clientele that customers voted to include “genuine” in the shop’s name. You’ll find us convenient to multiple major roads (between I-35, the MoPac Expressway, and Wells Branch and Scofield Ridge Parkways) at 13806 Turbine Drive Austin, TX 78728. We welcome walk-ins Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. To ensure quick access to a service/repair appointment, you can reserve your time using our online scheduler or by calling us at (512) 866-0212.
They’re called stealerships for a reason.
Biggest scam is convincing you they’re honest. Every car salesperson has a promising future in politics.
That’s not really a scam. You could go anywhere to get an oil change, or do it yourself. To me the biggest scam is the add ons, like paint protection, upholstery treatment, vin etching, excess fees, etc.
now let’s do a real one.
That’s not the scam, it often is a decent deal, but the intent is to get you in there routinely and hopefully get the additional repairs like tires and brakes the vehicle will eventually need.
The real scams are the additional services they try to push when going it for the routine services. You don’t need fuel additives every oil change, oil additives either. If they were required the manufacturer would have listed them in the owner’s manual — and they don’t!
